Klarna Group said a Swedish court has awarded $1.97 billion in damages to its PriceRunner unit, stemming from an antitrust case against Google.
Klarna said the award compensates for lost revenue which it said was due to Google favoring its own comparison-shopping service over independent price-comparison services.
Google wasn't immediately available for comment.
Klarna acquired PriceRunner in 2022 and said it has since expanded the PriceRunner-powered Search & Compare feature to 13 markets.
Klarna noted that any award remains subject to appeal by Google.
