HSBC has appointed Ahmed Taha and Yannick Lakoue-Derant as co-heads of its MENAT DCM business.
Taha joins from Standard Chartered and will join the bank in Dubai in October. Lakoue-Derant joins from Societe Generale and will join in September, based in Riyadh.
The appointments follow the departures of Khaled Darwish, former head of CEEMEA DCM, who joined Bank of America earlier this year, and Nour Safa, a senior DCM banker, who moved to Goldman Sachs.
The lender has also expanded the role of Ali Taufeeq, naming him head of sukuk and Islamic financing solutions for MENAT. Meanwhile, Anjuli Pandit, the bank's global head of sustainable capital markets, is set to relocate to Dubai.
