AMD reported second-quarter revenue of $11.5 billion, up 50% from a year earlier. Net income reached $2.3 billion, while diluted earnings per share came to $1.38. Non-GAAP EPS was $1.66, according to the company.

AMD said data-center revenue climbed 107% year over year to $6.7 billion, accounting for 58% of total sales. Client revenue rose 23% to $3.1 billion, while gaming revenue declined 31% to $779 million. AMD also expects third-quarter non-GAAP gross margin of about 56%.

Looking ahead, AMD NASDAQ:AMD said it expects third-quarter revenue of about $13 billion as demand for its data-center products continues to expand, while the chipmaker now sees that segment's revenue more than doubling in 2027.

AMD is preparing to begin initial shipments of its Helios rack-scale AI platform later this quarter, with a broader ramp expected in the fourth quarter. The company also said Anthropic plans to deploy up to 2 gigawatts of MI450 GPUs through Helios, while Microsoft is expected to deploy the platform on Azure.
