Copart's chief executive, Jeff Liaw, is stepping down at the end of July after more than four years at the helm of the online vehicle auctions company.

Copart on Monday said its executive chairman, Jay Adair, will once again serve as CEO of the Dallas company.

Liaw, who joined Copart in 2016, served as co-CEO with Adair from April 2022 until April 2024, when he became sole CEO. Adair previously served as CEO from February 2010 until splitting the role with Liaw.

Copart said Liaw, who is also stepping down from the board, will become a senior adviser to Adair and will provide customer-focused transition services until the end of July 2027.
