Alphabet NASDAQ:GOOG is rolling out personalized AI image generation in the Gemini app for eligible U.S. users, adding another consumer feature to its AI push.

The new tool connects Gemini's Personal Intelligence features with Google Photos and the company's Nano Banana image model. That means users can create images with simpler prompts, while Gemini pulls relevant context from connected apps such as Gmail, Google Photos, YouTube and Search.

The biggest change is convenience. Instead of manually uploading photos, users can let Gemini find useful images from Google Photos and use that context to generate more personalized results.

Google said the feature is free for eligible U.S. users. It also stressed that connecting Google apps to Gemini is optional, and users can change those permissions at any time.

the rollout shows Google trying to make Gemini more useful inside everyday products, not just as a chatbot. The next thing to watch is whether personalized AI tools drive stronger Gemini engagement.
