Innventure named Bill Grieco as its next chief executive officer, effective Oct. 1.

Grieco will succeed Bill Haskell, who plans to retire after six years as CEO, the venture capital firm said Tuesday. Haskell will work with Grieco to support a transition over the next three months, Innventure said.

Grieco is the founding CEO of Refinity, one of Innventure's operating companies. He is also a board member of Refinity and Accelsius. He was previously Innventure's chief technology officer, and has also held the CEO role at The Rapid Manufacturing Institute.

In connection with his appointment, Grieco will also join Innventure's executive committee and fill the vacancy from Haskell's retirement on the board as of Oct. 1. He will also continue to serve on the boards of Accelsius and Refinity. Refinity and Innventure are working with an executive search firm to identify a successor CEO for Refinity, Innventure said.

Grieco's appointment follows a search process led by a subcommittee of Innventure's board, which worked with an executive search firm to evaluate internal and external candidates, the company said.
