Lands' End named Charlie Cole as chief executive, succeeding Andrew McLean, who will serve in an advisory role to support the transition.
Cole was most recently interim chief digital officer with office-furniture company Thuma, with experience in consumer brands for more than two decades, Lands' End said.
"Andrew and the entire team have created a strong platform for the future, and I am honored to build upon that foundation, leveraging my technology and [artificial-intelligence] experience to create an even more personalized, engaging and productive customer experience," Cole said.
Earlier this year, Lands' End agreed to form a joint venture with brand-management and acquisition company WHP Global in a deal that provided the apparel company with $300 million in cash.
Lands' End recently reported a first-quarter profit on the deal, but net revenue slipped on shipping issues.
Shares were down 4.4% to $10.90 in premarket trading.
