Microsoft NASDAQ:MSFT is reportedly merging its enterprise and consumer Copilot chatbots into a single app as it tries to make the AI assistant easier to use and more central across its product lineup.

The Information reported that the move follows a memo from Microsoft executive Jacob Andreou, who told employees the new Copilot app will also include AI coding tools and new AI agents.

Some of those coding and agent features are expected to carry additional paid tiers. Microsoft is aiming to ship the updated Copilot experience by August, according to the report.

The shift could simplify a product lineup that has stretched across consumer, workplace and developer use cases as Microsoft races to turn heavy AI investment into daily software habits.
