Nebius Group NASDAQ:NBIS shares climbed 4% on Thursday after the AI cloud company said it had brought online and begun validating its first full Nvidia Vera Rubin NVL72 rack at its Finland data center.

The deployment comes just days after Nvidia (NVDA) disclosed a 9.3% passive ownership stake in Nebius, highlighting the companies' collaboration on next-generation AI infrastructure. Nebius said it received Nvidia Spectrum-6 networking switches last week and is now validating the complete platform before customer deployment.

Nebius said its engineering teams have worked closely with Nvidia from the earliest stages of platform development to accelerate testing and production readiness. Following hardware validation, the company plans to complete software optimization and production-grade testing before making the platform available to customers.

Nvidia said Vera Rubin NVL72 entered full production in June and is already being deployed across cloud providers including Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and CoreWeave. The platform is designed to deliver substantially higher memory bandwidth and lower AI inference costs than the previous Blackwell generation.

Earlier this month, Nebius also secured a $775 million GPU-backed senior secured debt facility to support AI infrastructure expansion without issuing new equity. The company previously disclosed more than $40 billion in contracted revenue with investment-grade customers, including Microsoft (MSFT) and Meta Platforms (META).
