Palantir Technologies (PLTR, Financials) is adding two new pieces to its commercial AI strategy. The company said it is working with Nvidia to run Nemotron open AI models inside secure environments for U.S. government agencies and critical infrastructure customers.

The goal is to let customers use large language models while keeping tighter control over sensitive data. Palantir said the setup will support auditability, data isolation and stronger security controls.

Palantir also announced expanded work with Surf Air Mobility to commercialize OperatorOS, OwnerOS and SurfOS Enterprise.

SurfOS uses Palantir's AIP and Foundry platforms to help private aviation companies manage operations, cut manual work and lower costs.

The two announcements show Palantir trying to move its AI platform into more practical business uses, from aviation to government infrastructure.

Shares rose in premarket trading after the news. For investors, the question is whether these partnerships can turn Palantir's AI momentum into broader commercial revenue growth.
