Papa John's International named Chris Collins as its interim chief financial officer, effective immediately.
Collins succeeds Ravi Thanawala, who is leaving Papa Johns to become CFO at another public company, the pizza chain said Tuesday. Thanawala will be available to Papa Johns in an advisory capacity until July 31 to support a smooth transition, the company said.
Papa Johns said it has started a search for a permanent CFO.
Collins takes on the role in addition to his position as senior vice president of corporate finance and principal accounting officer. He was previously interim CFO for several months in 2023. Before joining Papa Johns, he worked at companies including Signet Jewelers, Goodyear Tire & Rubber and American Axle & Manufacturing.
In connection with Thanawala's departure, Senior Vice President of North America Operations Marc Richard has assumed responsibility for all of the company's North America operations, including those previously overseen by Thanawala in his role as president, the company said.
