SpaceX NASDAQ:SPCX is preparing another Starship test flight that could take place as soon as this month, with the mission expected to carry upgraded Starlink satellites and potentially attempt an upper-stage recovery on land, CEO Elon Musk said during the company's earnings call Tuesday.

The planned flight would mark SpaceX's 14th Starship test. The company is still assessing the rocket from its previous mission, while the timing of the next launch and recovery attempt depends on regulatory clearance, according to Reuters.

SpaceX is also working toward faster launch operations. Musk said the company could eventually reach a pace of at least one Starship flight per day, while NASA is monitoring progress because it plans to use the vehicle for future lunar missions.

The company's latest Starship test on July 24 deployed next-generation Starlink V3 satellites, marking another step in the upgraded vehicle's development.
