SpaceX on Monday announced a new plan to build an AI-focused data center and confirmed it is proceeding as scheduled with deorbit operations for about 100 first-generation Starlink satellites, according to 36Kr. The company said it plans to construct the data center in the U.S. Midwest to support AI workloads, and it will directly use Starlink's high-speed, low-latency network for data backhaul.
