BMW Group reported first-half 2026 revenue of 62.266 billion euros, down 8% year on year, and said full-year automotive deliveries are expected to edge lower while group pre-tax profit is expected to fall sharply. In the second quarter, revenue declined 7.9% to 31.259 billion euros and pre-tax profit fell 35.1% to 1.697 billion euros, according to Jiemian News.
Tesla said on July 30 that its 10 millionth electric vehicle had rolled off the production line. Separately, Mercedes-Benz USA will recall 310,667 vehicles in the U.S. after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said corrosion in a driver-side door lock microswitch could prevent the system from detecting an open door and block automatic activation of the electronic parking brake or auto-park function.
Other Chinese automaker updates on July 30 included Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun saying cumulative deliveries of the Xiaomi SU7 and Xiaomi YU7 have exceeded 700,000 units after 2.5 years, while Huawei-backed Aito said its V9 MPV delivered more than 10,000 units in July. Lei also disclosed pre-sale prices of 299,900 yuan for the Xiaomi 澎程 N90 Max and 259,900 yuan for the N70 Max, with bookings opening at 9 a.m. and an official launch set for September 2026.
