American Eagle Outfitters appointed Ravi Thanawala chief financial officer, effective Aug. 3, succeeding Mike Mathias, and reaffirmed its second-quarter and full-year 2026 guidance.
Mathias will transition to full-time, non-executive strategic adviser to CEO Jay Schottenstein through July 30, 2027. He will also work with Thanawala through the remainder of fiscal 2026.
Thanawala has been serving as chief financial officer at Papa John's. He was previously chief financial officer of Nike North America from June 2020 to July 2023.
American Eagle backed its second-quarter and full-year guidance provided May 28.
Pittsburgh-based American Eagle Outfitters is a specialty apparel retailer whose brands include American Eagle and Aerie.
