American International Group has hired Nancy Bewlay as the insurer's new executive vice president and global chief underwriting officer, effective Sept. 8.
AIG on Wednesday said Bewlay joins the New York company from AXA Group, where she has been group chief underwriting and pricing officer and a member of the group management committee since 2023.
The company said Bewlay will report to Eric Andersen, AIG's president and chief executive, and will join the company's executive leadership team.
AIG on Tuesday announced internally that Christopher Flatt, who has been global chief underwriting officer since January 2025, is leaving the insurer later this year to pursue other opportunities.
