Curtiss-Wright plans to invest $80 million to expand operations at a Pennsylvania facility focused on its naval and power business.

The company, which specializes in making products for the aerospace and defense industries, said Monday the multiyear investment comes from a combination of internal capital investments, state support and maritime industrial base funding from the Defense Department budget.

As part of the investment, Curtiss-Wright plans to construct two new buildings to expand manufacturing and testing capacity, boost efficiency and cut down on lead times at its facility in Cheswick, Pa. The plant designs and manufactures products such as motor pumps, motors, generators and control rod drive mechanisms.

"This expansion strengthens our ability to meet growing customer demand in our naval defense and commercial nuclear end markets," Chief Executive Lynn Bamford said. "Additionally, we are pleased to see the administration's continued strong funding for naval shipbuilding, including an acceleration in maritime industrial base funding."

The expansion, which began in 2025, is expected to create about 150 new jobs over the next three years, the company said.
