Fortune Brands Innovations named Jesse Singh as chief executive officer and to its board of directors.
Singh's appointment comes after Fortune Brands in March scrapped its plan to make Amit Banati its next CEO after pressure from investor Ed Garden, who had seen Banati as lacking the necessary experience to lead the company.
Singh's appointment takes effect Monday, the building-products supplier said. He was previously CEO of The Azek Company, and has held prior roles at 3M and GE.
The company also named David Barry, who was interim CEO since March, as executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Additionally, Ashley George will continue as interim chief financial officer as the company continues to search for a permanent CFO.
The company also said Non-Executive Board Chair Susan Kilsby will directly oversee the operations of its Fiberon business as it continues its strategic review of the unit.
