The Cheerios maker swung to a quarterly loss, mostly because it offered more discounts. CEO Jeff Harmening said the company is now done investing in pricing, and will focus on driving brand "remarkability" to improve sales. This will include creating new products and marketing around things that matter most to consumers, including protein and fiber.
General Mills shares rise about 4% premarket.
