Eli Lilly NYSE:LLY and contract manufacturer Resilience will invest $750 million to expand pharmaceutical production in the Cincinnati region, adding Lilly's KwikPen injectable device to Resilience's operations. Lilly shares are down 2.24% intraday.

The expansion creates at least 400 high-skilled jobs, taking Resilience's Ohio headcount above 1,400. Site preparation is underway with full operations expected in early 2027. The KwikPen delivers Lilly's diabetes and obesity medicines, though neither company named which drugs will be filled there.

The partnership dates to 2023 and has produced more than 150 million doses for U.S. patients in vial and pre-filled syringe formats. "Scaling complex manufacturing programs requires proven technical capability," said Edgardo Hernandez, Lilly's president of manufacturing operations. Lilly's U.S. capital commitments since 2020 now exceed $55 billion, with several announced sites due to break ground this year.
