Gothenburg, 3 July 2026: The Nomination Committee of Gapwaves AB has informed the company that it proposes Per Norén as a new board member and Chairman of the Board. The proposal will be addressed at an extraordinary general meeting.

Per Norén is CEO of the Nasdaq Stockholm-listed satellite communications company Ovzon and has over 30 years of international experience in leading positions within advanced technology and critical infrastructure. Throughout his career, he has worked at the intersection of AI and optimization, telecommunications, aviation, space, mobility, transport, and defense – with a consistent focus on translating innovation into international business and profitable growth.

He has held senior international positions at Swedish, international, and American technology companies, including Boeing, Anuvu (formerly Global Eagle), Carmen Systems, and Ovzon. Through these roles, he has helped develop technology companies through various growth phases – from fast-growing software companies and global industry to today's New Space sector. He has extensive experience in commercializing advanced technology, building international business, scaling organizations, and establishing long-term partnerships with global industrial companies as well as government agencies and customers within critical infrastructure.

Per has solid experience in corporate management at both private and publicly listed companies, as well as in strategic board work and corporate governance. He has been a board member of SOFF (the Swedish Security and Defence Industry Association) since 2025 and is active in Swedish and international industry organizations within the technology, space, and defense sectors.

The Board of Directors of the company will issue a notice convening an extraordinary general meeting, at which the Nominating Committee's proposal will be presented for a decision. Such notice will be issued at a time to be determined through dialogue between the Board of Directors and the Nominating Committee.

The Nomination Committee consists of Susanne Schilliger Kildal, appointed by Kildal Antenn AB (Chair), Lars-Inge Sjöqvist, and Johannes Müller, appointed by Hella GmbH & Co. KGaA.
