Shares of Firefly Aerospace, Intuitive Machines and Voyager Technologies rose after NASA awarded new contracts to deliver equipment to the Moon, as the agency works to build a lunar outpost.
Firefly Aerospace's stock gained 1.1% on Wednesday to $29.73. Shares of Intuitive Machines ticked up 0.4% to $21.48, while shares of Voyager Technologies climbed 9.9% to $35.43.
Firefly Aerospace, Intuitive Machines and Astrobotic late Tuesday won awards from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to ferry payloads to the lunar surface by the end of 2028.
Astrobotic, which has agreed to be taken over by Voyager Technologies, won two flights--valued at roughly $298 million--carrying the NASA payloads to the moon. Firefly and Intuitive secured one mission each, valued at $144 million and $148 million, respectively.
