The number of people registering as jobless in Spain fell by 1.24% in June from a month earlier, or by 28,739, leaving a total of 2.29 million people out of work, data from the Labour Ministry showed on Thursday.

Spain gained 92,531 net formal jobs in June to 22.21 million jobs, on a calendar-adjusted basis and excluding seasonality, a separate report from the Social Security Ministry showed.
