Spain's seasonally- and calendar-adjusted industrial output rose 3.4% in May from the same month a year earlier, official data from the country's National Statistics Institute (INE) showed on Friday.

INE revised up the year-on-year figure for the month of April to 2.3% expansion from an original 2.0% growth.
