SPARO (硅羽科技), a general aerial intelligence startup founded in February 2026, has completed four funding rounds totaling several hundred million yuan within six months, according to 36Kr. Investors include Yaotu Capital (seed round), Jinqiu Fund, Alibaba, Hony Capital, GLP Hidden Hill Capital, and Yunshi Capital.
The company said the latest proceeds will be used to expand hiring for key roles, commercialize and scale delivery of its product lines, and accelerate iteration of its technology platform. SPARO focuses on enabling aircraft to operate as autonomous “aerial intelligent agents” capable of environmental understanding, decision-making, and task execution. Founder Zhang Fu is a tenured associate professor at the University of Hong Kong and leads the MaRS Lab; he previously served as a senior advisory scientist at DJI for eight years. SPARO said it has already accumulated dozens of seed customers and partners, including drone and logistics delivery companies.
