Canada's main stock index opened higher on Tuesday, on course for an eighth straight quarter of gains, as higher commodity prices and easing geopolitical tensions lifted sentiment.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX Composite Index TSX:TSX was up 0.10% at 34,860.15 points.
