British lenders expect to see demand for new mortgages for house purchase to fall in the three months to the end of August after increasing in the three months to the end of May, according to a Bank of England survey published on Thursday.
The BoE's quarterly Credit Conditions Survey also showed lenders expected demand for unsecured consumer lending to be flat, unchanged from the previous three months.
The survey of lenders took place between May 26 and June 12.
