STOCKHOLM--Autoliv and Chinese automaker XPeng agreed on a framework deal to develop new safety technology for vehicles.
The Swedish maker of airbags and safety belts said Tuesday that the two companies aim to collaborate across several key areas, including technology development, digitalization, supply-chain coordination, sustainability, and global business expansion.
Autoliv said it would leverage its global footprint and experience in automotive safety systems to support XPeng's product development and global expansion strategy.
