POLAND-SWEDEN
On Monday, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson will participate in Polish-Swedish intergovernmental consultations. During the consultations, an agreement will be signed for the purchase of three A26 submarines for the Polish Navy.
Discussions will cover, among other things, security in Europe, NATO, and the situation in the Baltic Sea. Support for Ukraine will also be discussed, the government press office reported.

From Scandinavia to the Alps, Europeans endured sweltering conditions on Saturday as a heatwave linked to dozens of deaths spread east, shattering records with temperatures in some areas soaring above 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit).
STATE BUDGET
Economists say that the Polish government should take more decisive action to curb state budget spending in order to reduce the public finance deficit, which rose to 7.3% of GDP in 2025, Rzeczpospolita daily reported.
