Indonesia's equities market is likely to remain highly volatile, Maybank Sekuritas' Jeffrosenberg Chenlim says in a report. The market is expected to be driven more by policy news flow and global macro developments instead of fundamentals. Market sentiment should be supported by positive policy signals and a more supportive global risk backdrop. "Conversely, any signs of investor-unfriendly policies could quickly weigh on confidence," says the head of research. Maybank lowers its end-2026 forecast for the Jakarta Composite Index to 7500 from 8400 previously. The JCI closed 0.9% higher at 5695.12. (amanda.lee@wsj.com)
