Nike cut its sales outlook for the year, marking the fifth time in a row that the sneaker and apparel maker has lowered its initial annual guide, BNP Paribas analysts say in a research note. "We still see risk for further cuts to the guide as the year unfolds," they added, citing concerns around the company's running category, as well as its performance in North America and China. Looking ahead, Nike says it won't detail specific sales figures for its women's, men's and kids' categories. "Pulling back on yet another disclosure is a red flag to us, particularly since women's was supposed to be a long-term growth driver," the analysts write. "We hope that Nike does not remove Jordan rev disclosures which were moved to the footnotes." (connor.hart@wsj.com)
