Two exchange-traded funds offered by BlackRock will be offered among the investment options for the Trump administration's Trump Accounts for children.
The U.S. Treasury on Wednesday said the accounts' investment options would include BlackRock iShares ETFs tracking the S&P 500 and S&P Total U.S. Stock Market indices. The Trump Accounts program, which goes live on Saturday, will offer access to the two ETFs in the coming months, the Treasury said.
"We're honored iShares ETFs have been selected for the Trump Accounts program, reflecting our commitment to helping more Americans start investing earlier and participate in long-term growth," BlackRock Head of U.S. iShares Elise Terry said.
BlackRock in December said it would match the government's $1,000 contribution to the Trump Accounts for eligible U.S. employees.
